What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Operator - Final Assembly position at Chipton Ross?
6 month contract
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o You must have good mechanical dexterity/eyesight, ability to read,
write and use basic math; maintain a high degree of accuracy in
performing repetitive tasks.
o The successful candidate is able to adapt to a changing work
environment, including increased automation, change in production
methods or sequences and rotation among workstations.
o You work well with others and actively participate in team problem-
solving activities.
o You may be requested to work overtime, as needed.
o Be able to lift 40lbs and work in various positions: standing, sitting,
and working on repetitive jobs/assemblies.
o A high school diploma or equivalency
o 1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional
area is preferred.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high
quality standards are met.
o You will have the opportunity to rotate among stations within work
center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks, as
needed, to facilitate cross training and to cover department/work center
needs.
o Your ability to work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets will
help you to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials
needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related
requirements.
o You may work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail as
well as use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further
assembly.
o You will work with a diverse group of people, your positive and
enthusiastic demeanor will aid you in assisting higher-level Assemblers in
more complicated assemblies or final production, as needed.
o Likewise, ability to diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections,
and/or equipment malfunctions will enable you to work with technical and
supervisory personnel to resolve discrepancies.
o Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory
count of completed work as well as monitoring work and insuring
requirements are being met regarding schedule, quality and quantity.
o You may package component parts or assemblies for shipment,
ensuring protection from potential shipment damage and that all vital
parts and instructions are present.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited high school diploma or equivalent.
WORK HOURS:
Shift hours: 6:45AM to 3:00PM
