Summary of Role:
Urgent hiring! CTP is looking for an Accountant with at least 5 years of experience, who is self-motivated and willing to adapt to a changing environment to join our financial management department. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in our company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and compliance with the law. Below is a list of potential key responsibilities to the financial management of our business. This role will initially incorporate some, but not all, the responsibilities below and could change through business requirements as needed or as growth by the individual in the role. Construction/Development industry experience is HIGHLY preferred!
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
· Preparing and maintaining important financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
· Preparing tax returns and ensuring that taxes are paid properly and on time.
· Evaluating financial operations to recommend best-practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently.
· Managing billing functions including but not limited to preparing and sending invoices, maintaining, and updating records, following up on outstanding payments, and corresponding with clients, answering questions, and resolving issues.
· Handling all aspects of AP and AR.
· Conducting forecasting and risk analysis assessments.
· Other finance and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Meticulous, detailed, proactive, and self-motivated.
· Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to appropriately prioritize and manage several diverse projects simultaneously with excellent attention to detail while under pressure.
· Ability to work with general instructions, maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
· Excellent external and internal customer service skills.
· Expert skills in Excel and Microsoft Office.
· Experience with accounting software and data entry.
· Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
· Experience with tax preparation and submission.
· Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets.
· Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
· Strong business acumen and communication skills.
· High degree of professionalism.
· Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred.
· Master’s degree preferred.
