Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chiropractic Office Billing/Assistant to join our office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing Billing and Insurance support, managing patient insurance, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers. This position requires a strong and coding systems, as well as excellent organizational skills.
Duties
- Assist with medical coding using ICD-10 and ICD-9 systems for billing purposes.
- Handle medical collections and process payments from patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary.
- Prepare billing statements to be mailed.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their medical inquiries and office policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the medical office operations.
Qualifications
- Experience with medical coding, particularly ICD-10 and ICD-9, is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems and practices.
- Knowledge of coding is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
