TITLE OF POSITION: SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER
DEPARTMENT: TRIBAL POLICE DEPARTMENT
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing a variety of law enforcement duties associated with ensuring the safety and security of the Chitimacha Tribal School. Deterring criminal activity, responding to incidents, and investigating violations on school grounds. As required, provides supplemental coverage to the Chitimacha Tribal Police Department’s Patrol Section.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED AND one (1) year of relevant law enforcement patrol, investigation, or other closely related law enforcement experience. Must currently hold and maintain Louisiana POST certification.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to successfully pass a background screening/investigation.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Pre-employment and random drug screen
- Pre-employment and Annual physical.
- Will be required to maintain vaccinations.
