What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position at Chitter Chatter?
Position Summary:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide intensive treatment for Chitter Chatter clients. The primary functions for a BCBA are to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients. The majority of the services involve providing Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention for children, but can also involve conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing Behavior Intervention Plans. BCBA’s may also be responsible for supervising Practicum students and ensuring their progress throughout their program and hours. Services may be provided in the home, clinic, or school setting. The BCBA will report directly to their Clinical Director.
Responsibilities:
- Develops technician training programs
- Develops BCBA new hire packet and training
- Responsible for monthly audits BC/BCBA treatment plans, BIP’s, and programming
- Meets regularly with practicum students and BC’s for training and feedback
- Monitors progress and documentation of client records
- Maintains regular communication with staff and others as necessary to inform and improve treatment plans
- Completes oversight of BCBAs, ABA Supervisors, and/or Registered Behavior Technicians per BACB guidelines, working as part of the overall caseload of clients, including completion of regular performance evaluations
- Participates in management and/or leadership meetings as required
- Intake of new clients through assessments (including functional analyses where appropriate), development of individualized treatment plans, collection of measures of performance, data analysis and presentation, and the ongoing evolution of the treatment plans
- Provides ongoing supervision for five-six individuals seeking certification as a BCaBA or BCBA
- Develops rubric for practicum students
- Implements a competency based curriculum for all practicum students
- Leads group supervision meetings bi-weekly
- Conducts and completes assessments regarding competency and document progress
- Completes documentation in compliance with BACB regulations regarding supervision intensity
- Reports competency scores and ongoing progression within the curriculum on a monthly basis to clinical leadership
- Oversees implementation of treatment services (e.g., assessment, supervision, parent engagement) by practicum supervises and provides feedback regarding performance
- Provides feedback regarding curriculum and works alongside clinical leadership to modify the curriculum to improve practicum outcomes
- Understands and references employee handbook to follow company policies and procedures
- Adheres to the guidance and discretion of organizational leadership
- Other duties and center support tasks as assigned
Requirements
Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or a related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
