A position is currently available for a Program Manager in our Project Management department. This position will plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the Project Management group to ensure goals and/or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct, and control the function of the department.
- Take ownership of department procedures and work instructions, and improves, creates, or modifies them as necessary.
- Lead the recruitment, management, and evaluation of department staff; establishes KPIs for staff and department performance.
- Initiate and implement plans to motivate staff toward achieving department goals.
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit by recognizing the accomplishments of other team members and building group morale.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Project Manager.
- Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Responsible for execution of all projects with a goal to meet or beat targeted margins and schedules.
- Responsible for content of all proposals, including budget, schedule, and deliverables.
- Provide supervision and reviews performance of the Project Management staff.
- Work closely with Sales to develop future business.
- Travel up to 20% to customer sites.
Qualifications:
- 4 year university degree or college diploma in field of Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent
- 9 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
- Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project.
- Technically competent with various software programs, such as MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and time lines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in an office environment, with regular exposure to mechanical moving parts in Manufacturing environments.
Schedule and Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday with weekend work as required.
