An exciting position is currently available for a Lead Facilities Technician. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong hands-on background in building construction and maintenance. This position is responsible for maintaining CHL properties. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, can work with minimal supervision, and will take initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
- Maintains cleanliness of public areas, storage areas, and parking lot.
- Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
- Operates lawn mowing equipment and other landscaping duties such as weeding and mulching
- Maintains plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts, switches and fuses.
- Maintains all fixtures and equipment according to preventative maintenance schedule.
- Assist in building projects and Equipment changes.
- Hang drywall, spackle and paint.
- Learn to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, backhoe and skid steer.
- Provide instruction and training to other team members.
- Ensures safety policies are followed at all times.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- 3-5 years experience in a hands-on construction role.
- Basic knowledge of and experience with carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, basic electrical, painting, cleaning and landscaping.
- Able to read and understand drawings and prints.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Work is performed in a Manufacturing environment, regularly exposed and working with mechanical moving parts.
- Regularly required to reach, grasp, stand, walk, climb, stoop, and crawl.
- Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 50 lbs.
