Job Summary
College Medical Center Long Beach is searching for an Application Analyst that serves as a consultant for clinical and financial end-users requiring information technology solutions.
The Application Analyst plans, designs, develops and modifies clinical, financial and business applications, ensures the integrity and security of data, and provides technical support to clinicians and other healthcare personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Technology or related field preferred
- Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
- Experience with healthcare information systems and their use in patient care required
- Strong knowledge base in clinical practice in an acute care and/or behavioral health setting
- Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
- At least 1 – 2 years of Cerner Millennium experience preferred
- Willing to obtain the CAHIMS Certification
- Works with clinical and financial customers to gather requirements, designs and implements technical solutions that satisfy those requirements, and conducts formal system testing.
- Monitors system performance and reports anomalies, errors, inaccuracies or inefficiencies. Makes recommendations as needed.
- Travels to other business sites to provide additional support and to foster business relations
- Trains, educates, and instructs clinical and financial users on features, operation, and usage of software systems.
- Provides break-fix and operational support
- Provide production support on a 24x7 basis as part of an on-call rotation
- Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical individuals in an understandable and courteous manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.52 - $44.40 per hour
