Job Description
CHM Bible Theatre is looking a self-motivated and experienced part-time teacher to join our team. As a teacher, you will be responsible for cultivating the students’ interest in art, theater and leadership for all of our youth development programs. Your responsibilities will include creating lesson plans, grading assignments, evaluating students’ progress, and planning educational activities in art, theater, community events, and during rehearsals and auditions.
You should be a competent professional with in-depth knowledge of teaching best practices in Art, English, Math and any other topics from K-12. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate outstanding presentation and interpersonal abilities.
Teacher Responsibilities:
- Developing and issuing educational content
- Teach in the afterschool arts program and summer art camp as needed.
- Supervising classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
- Organizing supplies for all subjects and resources for each project assigned to students
- Delivering personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning.
- Attend and help with all field trips and outreach events
- Planning, implementing and coordinating educational activities and events for afterschool program.
- Ensuring your classroom is clean and orderly.
- Preparing and distributing periodic progress reports and semester report cards.
- Help with homework, art, theater, leadership and STEM projects.
- Evaluating and documenting students’ progress.
Teacher Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in teaching or relevant field. Some associate degrees acceptable.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a teacher.
- In-depth knowledge of teaching methods and legal educational procedures.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
