Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and strategy. Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure. Monitor and optimize cloud performance and costs. Provide technical guidance and support to team members. Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices. Your Experience, Skills & Competencies Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent education and/or work experience. 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, software development, or information systems, including support of mission-critical applications. AWS certification preferred. 5 years of enterprise public cloud experience (AWS preferred) in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure. Technical Skills: Proficient in Linux administration and cloud networking. Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, Powershell, or Groovy). Experience with cloud automation (CDK or Terraform). Skilled in configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or Chef). Familiar with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Nexus). Knowledge of log aggregation and monitoring tools (ELK, CloudWatch, Sensu, Prometheus, APM solutions). Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development, AWS serverless technologies, container orchestration, big data, messaging, and distributed application development. Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle principles in an agile environment. Expert in software development best practices. Proficient in core AWS services/technologies. Ability to establish and implement the technical direction of the Cloud Platform. Excellent technical troubleshooting skills. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. High level of customer orientation, attention to detail, and excellent documentation and communication skills. Effective team player, both independently and collaboratively. Ability to facilitate collaboration and open communication across functional boundaries. Adaptable to new technologies and able to grasp new information quickly. Capable of handling increasing responsibilities with growing complexity. Your Team This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Director of Cloud Platform. You will be part of a 20 person team building solutions in the cloud and you will collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis. Your Work Location As our Principal Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ.
