Board Up Technician

Position Summary: This entry level position is responsible for ensuring vacant units are secured, cleaned and un-boarded for move-in.
The rate of pay for this position is $37,440 per year, commensurate with experience ($18.000 hourly; FLSA Non-Exempt)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Secure all vacant units to include lock changes
- Picking up old appliances, hot water tanks, and debris as needed
- Delivery of appliances
- Carpet removal when needed
- Maintain yards and minor landscaping
- Ensure properties meet lead safe standards
- Clean properties for market-ready condition.
- Make ready duties when assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Experienced driver of box truck
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in basic custodial duties
Skills:
- Good interpersonal skills
- Some hand tools are required
- Ability to use hand tools and skill saws
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently; have a good work ethic
- Able to lift 50 pounds; some bending, stretching required
Other:
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and automobile insurance
- Travel required within the City of Cleveland and surrounding cities
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
- Regular and punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
