Position Summary : The Housing Operations Specialist (HOS) ensures efficient operations in housing services while enhancing the Property Management department's ability to provide exceptional customer service to residents and applicants.
The Housing Operations Specialist (HOS) reports directly to the Assistant Director of Property Management. A key focus of this role is leveraging data analytics and excel-based tools to monitor, analyze, and improve housing operations. The (HOS) collects and organizes data, develops automated reporting tools, and uses advanced Excel functions to support data-driven decision-making. The (HOS) is also responsible for creating detailed and actionable reports to inform stakeholders, funders, equity partners, and Housing Finance Agencies.
This position is vital for tracking housing trends, ensuring compliance with property management standards, through clear and insightful reporting. Duties also include maintaining the waiting list, responding promptly to department phone calls, housing inquiries, and assisting with the processing of applications. The (HOS) is responsible for coordinating with law office clerks, courts, and attorneys as it relates to the eviction process, and assisting in the preparation of the eviction packets.
The (HOS) must always remain up to date and informed on Property Management's standards, procedures, compliance policies and practices.
The rate of pay for this position is $54,080 per year, commensurate with experience ($26.00 hourly; FLSA Non-Exempt).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Data Analytics & Reporting :
- Collect and analyze housing data for funders and partners.
- Create and deliver detailed reports, including dashboards and visual presentations, for stakeholders, funders, equity partners, and Housing Finance Agencies.
- Develop advanced Excel functions, macros, and dashboards to automate and streamline reporting processes.
- Maintain, complete and analyze utility monitoring spreadsheets, including water usage and energy trends, for compliance with Enterprise Green Communities quarterly.
- Track eviction processes and ensure accuracy and timely updates.
