Residential Therapist, 2nd Shift and On-Call Friday - Position Qualifications :
Residential Therapist, Split 2nd Shift and On-Call,- Tuesday through Saturday 12 -8 or 11-7
Masters of Social Work (MSW) (or closely related degree).
Must have a Kentucky license. LCSW preferred.
Two years experience in behavioral health or the educational field.
Knowledge and experience in providing individual and family therapy utilizing evidence-based treatment models.
Demonstrates ability to work as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Must have a current drivers license and insurance.
Demonstrate proven sensitivity to the various cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of Childrens Home clients and staff, including a commitment to use of the Sanctuary Model and to the philosophy of All Children, All Families framework of cultural competencies.
Position Summary :
The therapist will facilitate multiple therapy groups across both the Covington and Burlington campuses and provide occasional support for family sessions. The position requires meeting a minimum productivity goal of 22.5 hours weekly. Coverage will be arranged for any unscheduled or PTO days. This role is essential in supporting client care and maintaining compliance with PRTF protocols. The schedule of the role is a Tuesday through Saturday obligation working 12pm to8 pm or 11 am to 7 pm and covering on-call needs Friday night through Tuesday night ending a t 9 am Wednesday. The therapist is responsible for providing in-person assessments for clients involved in physical interventions during their scheduled workdays. Assessments must be completed in-person within an hour of receiving a call, ensuring timely clinical responses
Essential Job Functions :
Meet or exceed the minimum weekly productivity goal of 22.5 hours, ensuring that client care and administrative duties are completed efficiently.
Respond to client physical interventions and provide in-person clinical assessments within an hour of receiving notification.
Provide coverage during evenings and weekends, ensuring timely clinical response to any client escalations or interventions.
Lead and facilitate multiple therapy groups daily, providing therapeutic support to clients across both the Covington and Burlington campuses.
Develops and implements the individual treatment plan and coordinates service delivery to children and their families utilizing trauma informed approaches. Knowledge and use of the Sanctuary Model of trauma informed care. Use of the S.E.L.F. framework in service delivery as well as adherence to, and modeling of, the Seven Commitments when interacting with others and conducting oneself.
This includes the completion of assessment, and networking with referral sources, parents and other community resources.
Provides individual / family therapy at a minimum of 1 hr. per week, per individual and based on current needs and treatment plans of each child. Facilitate therapeutic groups. Engage family in services and provide parent education information and work to support referral agent's permanency plan and / or stability plan.
Maintains current records on each child in accordance with agency policies and state regulations.
Communicate and collaborate with families, referral agents, and other interested parties, (i.e., judges, schools, DCBS, DJJ, and other referral agents) regarding childrens treatment.
Co-chairs team meetings, admission conferences, staffing, in-service training and other meetings as required. Provides current clinical updates regarding children and families on their caseload and documents weekly and quarterly treatment meetings.
Reports observations regarding client medical issues to agencys Medication Coordinator.
Participates in psychiatric and psychological consultations regarding residents assigned to caseloads.
Participates in the admission process by reviewing referral packet and interviewing the resident and his family.
Collaborates with Case Managers to ensure residents needs are addressed.
Collaborates with referral source for transition and permanency planning.
Develop discharge and transition plan for assigned caseloads.
Attends case consultation and clinical meetings.
Assists with case coverage across programs as needed.
Obtain and maintain training in agency evidence-based practices and treatment modalities which may include : Nurturing Parenting, Trauma Focused CBT, Impact Plus provider certification, JSOCCP certification, Seeking Safety, Seven Challenges and Trauma Informed Care.
Attends required trainings as assigned.
