What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Coach for Girls’ Field Hockey position at Choate Rosemary Hall?
Choate Rosemary Hall seeks qualified candidates to fill the position of head coach for girls’ varsity field hockey. Coaching candidates may apply as coach-only (part-time) or in combination with any open full-time positions listed on our employment page.
Choate maintains a highly competitive girls’ varsity field hockey team against traditional opponents in the context of an education-based athletics program. Candidates are expected to have demonstrated strengths in recruiting, player development, and program building. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how inclusive and equitable practices inform their approach to coaching and team building within a field hockey program. In addition, the varsity head coach of the girls’ field hockey program assumes general oversight of sub-varsity teams and coordination of the girls' field hockey coaching staff. The head coach is responsible for recruiting suitable student-athletes and assisting in the college placement process.
Teaching/Administrative Candidates (full-time position): Candidates applying for the head coach position as a part of a full-time teaching and/or administrative appointment to the faculty should be prepared to also take on other responsibilities such as student advising, residential life, and other extracurricular activities.
