Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist I operates imaging equipment to make images of designated portions of body as ordered by the physician. Positions and instructs the patient for radiological or fluoroscopic examinations, adjusts imaging equipment, and determines the proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each image. May prepare patient for x-ray by administering contrast IV and non-IV. Technologists focus on infant, children, and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach.
Pay Range
Minimum $35.12 Midpoint $46.53 Maximum $57.94
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
- Required : Newly graduated from an accredited Radiography Program with less than six (6) months clinical experience.
- Preferred : One (1) year of acute care technologist experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital.
