Job Summary
The Audio Visual Event Specialist is responsible for audiovisual support, technical troubleshooting, equipment inventory or acquisition, webinars, virtual, and in personal participant conference experience, and zoom meetings. Assesses equipment needs, analyzes A/V vendor proposals, and acts as production manager on the day of event. Demonstrates professional rapport with physicians and hospital leadership, nimbleness, calmness under pressure and ability to facilitate multiple A/V projects at one time.Experience
Required: Minimum two (2) years of audio-visual experience in supporting on-site and/or virtual meetings and/or conferences and/or events.
Preferred: Five (5) years of audio-visual experience in a healthcare or academic environment.
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Training
Required: Proficient in Zoom Meetings & Zoom Webinars.
Preferred: Cvent/attendee hub certification
Specialized Skills
Required: Experience in the technical aspects and application of laptop computers (PC/MAC), LCD projectors, plasma/LCD monitors, wireless/wired microphone systems, audio support systems (fixed installation and portable), and video cameras, touch panel control systems and videoconferencing equipment; working knowledge of Windows and Apple Macintosh operating systems and hardware, proficiency with PowerPoint & video editing; motivated, self-starter approach with an ability to work effectively under deadlines; independent decision- making; ability to work well both individually and within a team; able to work flexible work hours including evenings and weekends.
Preferred: Experience with Mediasite (Sonic Foundry), YouTube, Vimeo, Cvent/Attendee Hub, website design (WordPress).
Licensure
Required: None.
Preferred: MS Certified, Video Editing Certified, Cvent/Attendee Hub Certified.
