Job Summary
The Driver/ Patient Representative must possess the skills, physical abilities, and maintain the responsibility of safely driving the CHOC Mobile Clinic/Breathmobile van to and from their locations and/or maintenance appointments. Is responsible for greeting the patients and their families at each location. Assists all parties in preparation and during the administrative functions so the patient(s) can receive patient care.
Pay Range
Minimum $19.93 Midpoint $26.42 Maximum $32.88
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
- Required: None required.
- Preferred: Previous experience driving a recreational vehicle, commercial truck, or bus. Certified Medical Assistant with two (2) years of experience. Previous experience working in a medical office and/ or healthcare setting.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
- Preferred: Completion of two years of college course work.
Training
- Required: None required.
Specialized Skills
- Required: Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Spanish. Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.). Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations, effectively solve complex patient care and organizational problems, role model positive and professional behavior.
- Preferred: Previous experience with computerized patient/ customer registration and billing.
Licensure
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); Driver’s License – Class C.
