The Role
As a Seasonal Ice Cream Picker, you will play a key role in helping us bring our mission to life by picking orders timely and accurately for our customers during peak ice cream season. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks including picking orders, order fulfillment, loading trucks, restocking, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role requires flexibility to work in both a warehouse and freezer environment; ice cream and freezer gear provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick orders accurately and efficiently according to picking lists and scanners.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Follow directions to accurately load trucks with ice cream and supplies for deliveries.
- Assist in the double checking orders during loading of company trucks.
- Restock inventory areas as needed to maintain adequate levels of stock.
- Work in the warehouse and storage freezer daily to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to communicate product outages and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Learn and comply with guidelines while using picking and inventory technology.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
About You
We’re looking for individuals who:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Have punctual, predictable, and reliable attendance
- Are cooperative and able to take direction
- Are customer service driven
- Have good teamwork skills
- Can constantly position self to effectively load all delivery vehicle types.
- Can constantly move ice cream or supplies weighing up to 60lbs chest high.
- Are comfortable working in the heat or cold that a warehouse experiences based on the environmental season 100% of shift
- Can constantly work in a freezer environment.
- Can ascend/descend a staircase to stock products.
- Can move about inside the freezer and warehouse.
- Valid driver license preferred
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience with warehouse/inventory is a plus, but your attitude and alignment with our values matter most.
