Primary Tasks
- Perform manual labor and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of building facilities, hotel and grounds which include but are not limited to construction and repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishes.
- Assist in training of associates of maintenance and organizational practices and procedures.
- Repair and resolve immediate operational and/or safety concerns and report any unsafe maintenance conditions to Management.
- Work under the supervision of skilled maintenance staff (Kitchen Tech, Plumber, Electrician, etc.), may perform duties as required in area(s) of expertise for the purpose of completing work orders in the repair, maintenance, and improvement of facilities.
- Ensure a safe work environment is maintained through adherence to safety guidelines and policies.
- Clean and maintain maintenance equipment and work areas.
- Complete work orders utilizing the work order tracking system.
- Respond to all emergency situations regarding facilities and maintenance including fire alarms and power failures.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM
- Working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair, and service; the ability to troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action.
- Knowledge of the standard principles, methods, practices, techniques, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of building structures, machinery, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment fixtures.
- Knowledge of electrical and HVAC equipment to assist electricians or HVAC techs in performing repairs on new and used equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
- Two (2) years of hands-on general maintenance experience in the maintenance of building facilities and grounds, repair of structures, machinery, plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair, and service; the ability to troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action.
