About the Role:
As a Lactation Consultant, you will be the go-to expert in human lactation, guiding prenatal and postnatal mothers and infants through their breastfeeding journey. Your role will focus on assessment, education, and individualized feeding plans to ensure the highest level of lactation support.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Conduct clinical assessments and develop evidence-based feeding plans
✅ Identify and address lactation needs for prenatal and postnatal patients
✅ Provide breastfeeding education & support to inpatient and outpatient mothers
✅ Offer follow-up care via phone, consultations, and scheduled visits
✅ Coordinate care and resources, including breast pump orders
✅ Facilitate communication between healthcare providers
✅ Schedule consultations & referrals
✅ Work as RN PRN as needed
What You Need to Succeed:
✔ Current RN licensure (Oklahoma or Multistate)
✔ BLS Certification
✔ International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
