Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Equipment Technician to join our facilities management team. As a Mechanical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing building mechanical equipment and components, ensuring HVAC and refrigeration systems operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems.
- Inspect, install, and service mechanical equipment, including compressors, condensers, pumps, valves, and ventilation units.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Work with building automation systems and provide support for food service equipment repairs.
- Source and procure tools, parts, and equipment as needed for projects and repairs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years working as a part of a light/heavy commercial construction or service team performing service, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and components.
- HVAC Class B/Limited Journeyman License or verifiable documentation of mechanical experience in states that do not require licensing.
- EPA I & II or Universal License and HVAC Certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Familiar with working under a standardized process.
