What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Bartender Chilis- Grant position at Choctaw Nation?
Job Purpose or Objective(s): As a Chili’s Bartender, you will ensure the guest is greeted with a warm and welcoming smile. The Chili’s Bartender also makes sure the guest receives their drinks and food promptly while providing efficient service. You will mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks guest of bar and service bar, following standard recipes and alcoholic beverage policies, merchandises drinks, and attend to guests by making them feel welcome. You will report to the Chilis Shift Manager or General Manager.
Primary Tasks:
1. Write food and beverage orders on Guest tickets and enter order into POS quickly and in proper sequence by using appropriate abbreviations and charges.
2. Have proficient knowledge of the menu to explain offerings to the Guests, inform them of current food promotions and specials, and answer any questions.
3. Serve food and beverage to Guests promptly, which includes retrieving food orders from the kitchen and transporting them to the Guests in the servers’ section, and for any other section in the restaurant.
4. Assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a Manager while following alcohol awareness procedures for identifying age, preventing intoxication, and dealing with intoxicated Guests.
5. Collect payment (credit cards, cash) for drinks and food served following company established accounting procedures for all transactions.
6. Ensure all financial transactions are correct and maintain currency and coin for making change. Operate POS machines correctly. Calculate change due to the Guest and return appropriate amount promptly.
7. Maintain table appearance by pre-pressing, checking drink levels, and removing clutter.
8. Keep station clean; set up and take down station tables.
9. Perform shift change, including opening or closing responsibilities.
10. Follow all company safety and sanitation procedures.
11. Assist other Team Members when needed.
12. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Stand/walk 100% of shift
Operate POS, make change, and conduct credit card transactions, account for all monies at the end of each shift.
Deliver plates of food and clear tables which may require lifting as much as 30 lbs.
Verbalize and respond to Guests requests.
Obtain an Oklahoma ABLE Liquor License
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
1 years of experience in Full Service Casual Dining preferred.
Prior bar experience
