Job Summary or Objective: Deliver community center and home-based support services to promote important health, development, early learning, educational/vocational completion, child abuse and neglect prevention, and family support services to target population. You will report to the Director.
Primary Tasks:
1. You will implement goals of the program under the oversight of the Program Director and Sr. Educator.
2. Facilitate and teach curricula in participating schools and in communities.
3. Administer entry/exit surveys and pre/post testing to participating students.
4. Enter and maintain the data collection aspects of the grant requirements.
5. You will collaborate with the evaluation team to gather data from pre/post testing and entry/exit surveys that are collected from students in participating schools.
6. Promote the program using multiple media, brochures, community meetings and health fairs, tribal newspapers, etc.
7. Promote communication between the Program and partners in the grant project.
8. You will provide reports to federal program officer and funding agency.
9. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in social work or related fields and two [2] years of experience in federal grant program implementation and social work, particularly in delivering service to Native American population OR six [6] years of directly related experience in lieu of education.
- Trained and certified to teach, facilitate, and test the curriculum in a classroom setting
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple tasks
- Demonstrate and have speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work with culturally diverse children, adults, and community
