We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Specialist to join our growing cannabis manufacturing team. As a QA/QC Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the regulatory requirements set forth by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) and the highest quality standards for our consumers. You will play a vital role in maintaining consistency, safety, and product excellence across all stages of the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure that all products meet OMMA’s regulations and industry standards. Perform inspections, reviews, and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality specifications.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all testing, inspections, and certifications. Ensure all documentation is compliant with OMMA regulations and ready for potential audits by regulatory bodies.
- Testing and Analysis: Conduct and oversee routine quality control tests, including potency, contaminants, and residual solvent analysis. Ensure product samples are tested by certified laboratories and results are documented appropriately.
- Product Safety: Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any product safety issues, deviations, or non-conformance to ensure customer safety and regulatory compliance.
- Training & Development: Educate and train production staff on quality control processes, compliance with OMMA regulations, and best practices to ensure the highest standards of product quality are maintained.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze trends, root causes, and potential improvements in production and quality control processes to minimize risks and improve efficiency while adhering to OMMA law.
- Regulatory Audits and Inspections: Support internal and external audits, prepare for regulatory inspections, and ensure adherence to OMMA’s requirements, including the maintenance of required records.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as biology, chemistry, or food science) preferred, or relevant experience in cannabis manufacturing or quality control.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in a cannabis manufacturing or similar regulated environment. Familiarity with OMMA compliance standards and cannabis testing requirements is a must.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of OMMA regulations and industry standards for cannabis production, including labeling, packaging, and product safety.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret testing results and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing methods and compliance protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must pass a background check as required by OMMA.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
