Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant/Transportation Assistant to join our team . This job will be a 40 hour per week but does require you to work every weekend. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and individuals with disabilities, creating a positive environment that fosters social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being. You will be required to assist with transportation. Pay will corollate with experience.
Duties
- Assist residents in participating in activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment
- Facilitate group events such as games, arts and crafts, music sessions, and exercise classes.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback on activities
- Foster relationships with residents to understand their preferences and enhance their overall experience.
Skills
- Experience in caregiving or senior care settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to work compassionately with the geriatric population and varying levels of care needs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and staff members.
- Creativity in developing engaging programs that cater to diverse interests
