Responsibilities:
• Receive and understand food orders
• Prepare, season, finish, and garnish all food in accordance with established recipes
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with State Health Regulations
• Follows all recipes and control procedures
• Assist in all areas of food production as needed
Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• One year experience in a culinary operation such as a full-service hotel or restaurant preferred
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication tables
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Physical Demands:
• Moderate to heavy physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifty pounds
• Standing/walking 90% of the shift
• Perform position responsibilities and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces
• Work with hazardous chemicals
• Must be able to work while wearing latex, vinyl, or rubber gloves
• Bending, stooping, and stretching of arms during assigned shift
Work Environment:
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
• When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud
• When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke
