Job Summary
This position is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HR operations department. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the company’s goals and objectives. It is their responsibility to primarily focus on how HR services are delivered, as well as the design, development, and implementation with a key focus to drive efficiency, effectiveness, cost and compliance for all HR services. This position will be responsible for the processes and teams of HR Shared Servies (payroll, benefit delivery, onboarding & offboarding), Human Capital Intelligence, HR Technology, and HR Compliance. Success in this position will develop, communicate and executive upon a clear mandate to drive HR PeopleFirst service delivery, with responsibility for HR efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
Leadership
- Conduct regular one-on-ones to align cultural & business objectives, prioritize the most important work and coach to high performance.
- Facilitate execution through effective situational leadership tools.
- Support engagement and action by listening to team member feedback – what’s working, what’s not – support them in initiating and executing positive changes and provided them with adequate resources.
- Support in the team members professional and personal.
- Catch team members being approximately right through timely, individualized recognition.
- Promote collaboration and face to face interaction.
- Proactively and continuously recruiting for talent needs within HR Operations.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company’s overall business objectives.
- Operations Leadership: Oversee the daily workflow (current state) of HR service delivery, as well as driving improvements through process mapping to provide efficient, effective, and compliant HR services.
- Data Driven Decisions: Develop and implement business-focused HR metrics. Deliver reliable workforce data with corresponding workforce reporting and analytics designed to
- Board Presentation & Reporting: Contribute alongside CHRO to the development of material and presentations including occasional in-person presentation.
- Policy & Procedure Development & Maintenance: Guide the creation and execution of HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and promote PeopleFirst culture.
- Compliance: Oversee HR Compliance, ensuring compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
- Budget Management: Development of the overall HR budget and analysis of total HR spend including collaboration with finance to ensure prudent but organizational personnel cost management.
- Business Line Collaboration: Develop collaborative relationships with the HR Centers of Excellence (talent, total rewards, L&D, etc.) and executive leadership (CIO, CFO, Legal, Procurement etc.) through dotted-line relationships to implement newly developed policies and programs.
- Technology Strategy: Development and implementation of an HR technology strategy to support the business needs.
