Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality care to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience working in group homes or home care settings and be skilled in supporting residents with various needs, including dementia care and autism. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Ensure the dignity and respect of residents by upholding resident rights at all times.
- Monitor and document changes in residents' health or behavior, reporting any concerns to nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring residents safely.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect the privacy of residents' health information.
- Participate in training sessions on first aid, dementia care, and other relevant topics as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a group home or home care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies is highly desirable.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to advocating for clients' needs.
- Ability to lift and assist clients safely; physical stamina is essential for this role.
- Certification in First Aid or willingness to obtain certification is required.
- A compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills is essential for building rapport with residents.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
