Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Jefferson, GA for an Industrial Design Engineer. The Industrial Design Engineer with experience in SolidWorks, Revit design, sheet metal fabrication, and database development.
Job Responsibilities
- Create designs based on customer and inhouse specifications.
- Create, and Update 2D/3D drawings and Images as needed for ERP System
- Create and Maintain part numbering system in in ERP Data Base
- Meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations of quality, price, and rapid service.
- Work with production and other departments ensure they are produced accurately, on time, and under budget.
- Create BOM’s, Spec sheets, and other documentation.
- Create cost sheets based on design and manufacturing processes.
- Support Marketing, Purchasing as needed
- Must be hands on to follow projects through the shop, not afraid to get dirty.
- Eliminating the costs of rework, repair, rejection, handling and return of substandard material.
- Process Improvement and plant floor layout design for machinery, process lines.
Job Requirements
- 1-2 Years of Solid works/ Revit experience.
- Ability to create 2D/3D drawings and renders for Customers and in-house shop drawings.
- Sheet Metal, frame design 3D modeling experience
- Must be able to meet and interact with clients professionally
- Fabrication and Hands on Experience/background
- Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Ability to balance multiply projects at once.
- Creativity, problem solving, and technical knowledge.
- Computer literate in MS Office in word, excel, PowerPoint, and outlook
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience with manufacturing software, MRP and ERP preferred
- Laser / waterjet Programing experience preferred
- Press brake Programing experience preferred
- CNC Programing experience is a plus
- Exposure to Welding is a plus
- Electrical knowledge a plus but not required.
- Understanding of different types of materials, Aluminum, Stainless and Steel
- Sheet metal finishing process knowledge
- Strong verbal communication and analytical skills
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
