Comfort Choice Hospice is a growing hospice care agency providing quality services to patients in the comfort of their homes. We have patients across Southern California and have offices in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, Riverside, and Palm Springs.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Patient Care Services to oversee and manage the clinical operations of our hospice organization. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, guidance, and support to clinical staff, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care that complies with regulatory as well as Joint Commission Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical staff.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and counseling to coordinators, Clinical Supervisors, and Nursing Supervisors to improve home health care services.
- Assist Clinical Supervisors/Nursing Supervisors in managing clinical teams, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Support the Executive Director/Administrator with budget preparation and administration.
- Monitor operational indicators to detect census changes and adjust staffing levels, revenues, or expenses accordingly.
- Hire, evaluate, and terminate clinical staff as necessary.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for Clinical Supervisors/Nursing Supervisors and assist in their professional development.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate clinical records, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure high standards of patient care through regular evaluation and reporting of clinical activities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in clinical operations and patient services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current RN license in CA.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical and supervisory experience in hospice or home health care.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor clinical teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in preparing for and/or maintaining compliance with Joint Commission surveys (Preferred)
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
