Position Overview:
The HR Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting our Human Resources department. You will be responsible for managing HR documents, maintaining employee records, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth HR operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
*Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm Schedule - Fully On-Site Position*
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage HR documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records, including maintaining up-to-date credentials.
- Handle general office tasks including answering phones, managing correspondence, and ordering supplies.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new full-time employees, including conducting orientations.
- Address employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits enrollment
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies, maintaining a compliant work environment.
- Uphold the confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Provide general support to walk-in applicants and job seekers.
- Enter new hires and update employee information in the ADP Workforce Now
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in office administration or HR-related roles is a plus.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Proficient in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
