Job Responsibilities Include :
Participates in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with Choice Hotels overall mission, vision values and strategies
- Participates in the development of the hotel’s business strategies
- Develops and implements strategies for hotel engineering department that support achievement of the hotel’s goals
- Monitors status regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate
- Develops the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive Commit
- teeParticipates in the development of the annual marketing, sales and yield management plans and strategies
- Continually improves the hotel engineering department and adheres to Radisson brand standards
Maximizes profitability and revenue by directing the Engineering department
Manages the Engineering department and any third-party vendor to ensure superior service and quaDevelops and implements quality control programs, conducts annual compliance training in accordance with local, state and federal lawsReviews contracts and negotiates revisions to contractual agreements with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractorsInterprets plans and contract terms with Engineering team, management, clients, and vendorsManages the relationship with the outsourced security companyManages the guest incident reporting and partners with front officeMonitors compliance with building safety codes, protocols, health and safety laws and other regulations, conduct walk-throughs to assess the safety and efficiency of equipment and maintenance of structureMaintains Responsible Business programs and training for hotelManages hotel renovations, coordinates project status with Corporate Technical Services, architects, licensing agencies, contractors and hotel managementDevelops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
Develops and recruits the human resources necessary to achieve hotel and Management Services goalsDirects the development and implementation of strategies and practices which support employee engagement throughout the hotelOversees all facets of human resources management including the recruitment and selection, training & development, compensation, recognition and performance management of the workforceTakes active role in recruitment and selection of qualified candidatesCommunicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedbackProvides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potentialDrives employee engagement through the creation and implementation of departmental action plansCreates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations. Provides employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork
