The Real Estate Investment & Asset Management group manages the deployment of Choice capital to expedite the growth of select Choice Hotels brands. The primary focus is on the domestic growth of the upscale Cambria Hotels brand and the midscale extended-stay Everhome Suites brand, but the portfolio includes assets ranging from upper upscale through midscale. Choice has committed up to $1Bn toward real estate investments. These investments vary in form, but include wholly owned assets, joint venture equity, senior and mezzanine financing, and land acquisitions. As a key member of our Real Estate Investment group, you will assist with the management of a portfolio of open Cambria and Everhome hotels. You will focus on monitoring and reporting on asset and portfolio level performance for an approximately 20-hotel portfolio.
Your Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in related field. Business, finance or real estate preferred 1-3 years of hotel asset management, feasibility, or on-property hotel operations experience preferred Strong understanding of hotel Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheets Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information succinctly and clearly. Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Resourceful, with the ability to find or develop answers to questions starting with incomplete information and/or limited direction. Detail oriented and able to work independently while prioritizing multiple complex projects. Self-starter with willingness and ability to excel in deadline-driven, high-volume environment. Your Team
This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Director, Asset Management. You will have three peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments and external parties on a regular basis.

As a Real Estate Acquisitions and Investments Analyst, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in Rockville, Maryland. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located directly across from the Rockville Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Right now, our associates in Rockville, MD are working in a hybrid environment, between two-four days per week in the office and working virtually the remaining days . We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $90,000 annually.
The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Your Responsibilities
- Assist Asset Manager with creation and maintenance of strategic business plan for each asset in the portfolio.
- Conduct monthly P&L reviews to track performance and identify areas of opportunity and/or risk.
- Assist Asset Manager with reviewing booking pace, segmentation, and channel mix strategies to ensure properties meet revenue objectives.
- Build and maintain portfolio reporting and financial analysis tools such as dashboard reports, benchmarking, and ROI models.
- Create 5-year capital improvement plans for each hotel and work collaboratively with on-property management teams and third-party project managers to execute capital improvement projects.
- Stay abreast of supply/demand dynamics for each market in the portfolio.
- Form strong relationships with on-property management teams in order to positivity influence results.
- Collaborate with Extended-Stay and Upscale brand teams to ensure any learnings are applied across entire Cambria and Everhome franchised portfolios.
- Assist with asset dispositions, including collecting due diligence and coordinating with brokers and buyers.
