The Radisson Hotel La Crosse is looking for a Controller to join our Accounting Team!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in the development of finance and accounting strategies which are aligned with the overall objectives of the hotel
- Monitors status and recommends adjustments to strategies as appropriate
- Participates in developing the annual budget
- Assures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
- Ensures that all work is accurate, timely and done in accordance with Choice Hotels standards
- Supervises and participates in the operation of the accounting department
- Oversees training and cross-training of accounting staff
- Assures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
REQUIREMENT/SKILLS:
- Minimum of five years of progressive finance management experience in a hotel setting
- Professional certification (e.g. CPA) or equivalent level experience required
- Bachelors degree required
- Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
- Able to resolve conflicts with supervisors and employees
- Advanced knowledge of accounting, finance and hospitality profession
- Experience with accounting software
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytic skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of times
- Lift, carry, or otherwise move and use force or exertion up to 75 lbs.
- Use of manual dexterity of common office equipment, such as but not limited to computers, printers, phones ect.
