Choice Hotels is seeking a Pricing Strategy Analyst to support strategic development, analysis and implementation of commercial initiatives. The analyst will support day-to-day execution of commercial strategic priorities to increase hotel room revenue and profitability by utilizing pricing and promotional initiatives. From creating business cases to launching plans for new commercial products the analyst will help champion the development and execution of value creating initiatives for our franchisees.

Support Manager of Pricing Strategy & Analysis in areas of strategy, analysis and project management to drive development and implementation of commercial initiatives
- Partner across marketing and distribution to analyze, establish, and execute strategic pricing and promotional initiatives such as cancellation policy, member rates, advance purchase discounts, etc.
- Perform analytics to understand how customers are responding to past and existing initiatives
- Generate insights and recommendations on how to capture new revenue opportunities and scale them across our brand portfolios
- Build analytical models to assess and predict performance pricing and promotional strategies and tactics
- Develop business cases for new commercial opportunities

- Support Director and Manager in formulation of vision, strategy, and thought leadership on pricing and promotional opportunities
Skills you have..
- Bachelors in Hotel Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience required. Work towards MBA a plus.
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant work experience. Experience in analytics, pricing, strategy, consulting, or commercial performance a plus.
- Knowledge of pricing and promotional principles and concepts including microeconomics, pricing strategies, customer segmentation, and distribution channels
- Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, asks thoughtful and relevant questions, ability to draw conclusions from data and formulate hypotheses
- Strong initiative, organization, communication, teamwork, collaboration, and analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, persistence, and resolve in creative problem solving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with basic project management skills, including organization, planning, budgeting (time & cost), scheduling, tracking, and reporting
- Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and prioritization; applies good judgement to manage several projects simultaneously, and seeks direction from supervisor when conflicting priorities arise
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build positive relationships, exhibit and earn trust
- Able to apply high level critical thinking skills to understand and solve complex problems having multiple complex variables, and to work across departments and disciplines to design solutions. Able to prioritize objectives, identify trade-offs, identify resource needs, and develop and communicate business cases and implementation plans.
- Experience with franchising businesses in a global environment a plus.
- Understanding of hotel industry standard metrics and related reports is a plus.
- Familiarity with statistical tools such as SAS, Stata and R, demonstrated interest in analytics are required. Knowledge of Python (Pandas, Statsmodels) is a plus.
