The Cloud Platform Engineering is the team that designs, develops and manages AWS based infrastructure and services including developer experience. Your Responsibilities
- Leads the design, implementation, and administration of cloud-based infrastructure automation and continuous delivery capabilities including CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and Site Reliability.
- Oversees, builds, and maintains operational tools for monitoring and analyzing AWS infrastructure and systems.
- Evaluates and leads the operationalization of new tools, technologies, and cloud services.
- Works collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements and to ensure adherence to cloud security standards, reference architectures, patterns, and best practices.
- Optimizes cloud environments for both performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science or related field required or equivalent experience.
- Masters degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure engineering, software development, information systems, or equivalent technical fields including previous experience in the development and support of highly transactional, mission critical applications
- Minimum of 4 years of enterprise AWS cloud experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, database, networking, and security related services.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment tools such as Harness and DevOps toolchain technologies such as Jenkins, Git and Nexus
- Proficient in
- One or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, PowerShell, or Groovy)
- Cloud automation templating (CloudFormation or Terraform)
- Configuration management and deployment automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or Chef.
- Log aggregation and monitoring tools such as OpenSearch, CloudWatch, Sensu, Prometheus and APM solutions.
- Experience in one or more of the following technology areas required :
- AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB Event Bridge, Step Functions)
- Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate)
- Messaging (SQS, Kinesis, ActiveMQ, Kafka)
- Distributed application development (Java or Python, microservices architecture, REST protocols)

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Director, Cloud Platform Engineer. You will have 3-5 peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.
Your Work Location
As our Sr Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ.
Right now, our associates in Scottsdale, AZ are working in a hybrid environment, 3 days per week in the office and virtually from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
