On-Call Porter

Location: New York, NY (Brooklyn or Manhattan)

Job Description:

An On-Call Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of a building or facility. They perform a variety of tasks such as cleaning common areas, removing trash, and ensuring that the building is secure. The On-Call Porter is expected to be available to work on short notice and may be required to work weekends or holidays. 

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and elevators
• Remove trash and recycling from the building
• Ensure that the building is secure by locking doors and windows
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar role preferred
• Ability to work on short notice and be available for on-call shifts
• Professional Porter attire required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
