Role: Assists members and potential members with their financial needs, opens new accounts, processes account transactions, resolves problems, and provides assistance and information regarding products and services. Travel required between branches.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations. Acts as Loan Officer for the branch location. Assists the loan department as needed. Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members. Ensures appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared. Acts as liaison between members and various departments. Maintains member account information on computer system. Performs other job-related duties as assigned including but not limited to debit card services, ATM functions, chargebacks and adjustments to debit cards and share drafts, and UChoose Rewards.
Performance Measurements:1. Provide informed, prompt, accurate service and support to all members and associates by waiting on members in lobby within 5 minutes, answer the telephone within 3 rings, and respond to messages or correspondence within 2 hours. 2. Open all accounts, certificates, loans, and other credit union products or services accurately, ensuring all related forms and documents are completed and filed/scanned in a timely manner. 3. Carry out assigned duties and responsibilities with minimal errors according to established department standards. 4. Actively cross-sell products and services to members to achieve or exceed all established sales goals and assist in meeting department goals. 5. Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner. 6. Ensure compliance with all applicable credit union policies and procedures. 7. Meet or exceed all individual goals assigned.
Knowledge and Skills: Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. Other Skills Able to operate a 10 key calculator, typewriter and computer keyboard.
