Assistant Property Manager

We have an exciting opportunity as an Assistant Property Manager supporting the Property Manager in day to day operations of our student housing property in East Lansing. The candidate must be able to effectively provide top-notch customer service and have great attention to detail. Experience with Rent Manager property management software or industry related property management software is preferred, but we will train the right person!

Duties:

* Curb Appeal; ensuring property looks pristine at all times.

* Collection of rents and bank deposits; reducing delinquencies. 7 day notices and evictions

* Marketing vacant apartments through internet, print, flyers, and referrals.

* Overseeing community assistants/leasing agents

* Overseeing and creating social media to engage residents and prospects

* Resolving customer complaints quickly – our greatest assets are our current residents.

* Inputting utility charges on resident accounts

* Assisting manager to follow invoice process coding and payment procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent (those with some college preferred)

- Must have clean driving record, pass background check, and drug and physical check for the position.

- Minimum of 1 year of Property Management experience required

- Excellent customer service & positive team-first attitude

- Self-starter and a great work ethic

- Must own vehicle

- Experience with Rent Manager/Property management software is appreciated

- Must live within 15 minutes of East Lansing, small housing

Salary:

$47,000-$50,000 based on experience generous commission and bonus structure
