Description:
The role of a teller is fundamental in delivering exceptional customer service at ChoiceOne Bank. As a teller, you will be the primary point of contact for customers and will be responsible for handling banking transactions accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit and process banking transactions with utmost confidentiality.
- Advance funds from credit cards and other accounts as required.
- Perform miscellaneous duties such as night deposits, ATM balancing and servicing, supplies management, and answering phone calls.
- Assist in the training of new teller staff members.
- Familiarize yourself with and adhere to the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), FACTA, and USA PATRIOT Act, reporting any observed or potential violations to a supervisor or appropriate bank officer.
- Complete all necessary reports related to these acts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of cash handling experience preferred.
- Strong Customer Service Skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to follow policy and procedures.
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized approach.
- Ability to multitask.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Vault and ATM certification within 12 months.
- Meeting and exceeding sales/referral goals for tellers.
- Processing cash and non-cash bank transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining daily balances.
- Acquiring and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of banking products, financial services, and technology.
- Flexibility in scheduling.
