  • Promote resiliency and support s the emotional and functional growth and development of the youth served by Choice for Life of Georgia, LLC (CFL).
  • Provide rehabilitative, environmental support and resources coordination considered essential to assist youth and family in gaining access to necessary servicers and in creating environments that promote resiliency and support the emotional and functional growth and development of the youth.
  • Conducts other duties such as case management, group facilitation and behavioral supports as outlined and required in the current fiscal year DBHDD Standards Manual to include all Essential Learning components
  • Provides skills support and assists the youth/family’s self-articulation of personal goals and objectives while building community resources
  • Provide immediate information to supervisor regarding possible mandated reports.
  • Provider services as outlines in DHS/DFCS and DBHDD, and CFL guidelines and standards.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of the Individual Resiliency Plans (IRP)/Treatment Plans/Crisis/Safety Plans
  • Assists in planning in a proactive manner to assist the youth and family in managing or preventing crisis situations.
  • Consults with managers, executives, and employees to identify problems, develop improvements, create and maintain quality standards.
  • Maintains and/or creates files or record keeping systems. Sorts, labels, files and retrieves documents, or other materials.
  • Gathers data, prepares reports or summarizes information as needed.
  • Types and prepares reports or other written materials from source documents, transcription, etc.
  • speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
  • communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; reading and understanding information presented in writing
  • coordinate the activities or tasks of people, groups and/or organization(s)
  • evaluate information against a set of standards

  • Show an exceptional ability to relate to and work well with agency officials, legislative staff, and the general public under varying circumstances and potentially stressful situations.

  • effectively utilize principles, theories, and practices of records management

  • utilize email and instant messaging via company provided encrypted website as forms of communication with other staff members

  • work effectively with organizations, associations, supply and marketing cooperatives, etc., that have common interests
  • deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
  • find, gather and collect information or data
  • work independently and productively with little supervision
  • generate and articulate tx plan goals and objectives based on the direction of the client/family and representing those resources, strengths and needs during clinical staffing meetings
  • Work collaboratively as a treatment team member and follow treatment directives as outlined and/or recommended by the psychiatrist or assigned therapist
  • Capable of establishing positive interpersonal relationships with a diverse and broad range of people
  • Demonstrated skill with problem solving techniquesEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 4 year College Diploma majoring in one of the helping professions or currently enrolled in a Bachelor level program. Examples to include psychology and sociology.
  • 2 years previous experience working with children, families and/or community service agency
  • Completion of minimum standard training requirements for all Paraprofessionals to include total 46 required EL hours

Preferred Educational requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Social Sciences or related field
