Job Title: General Manager

Company Overview: ChoLon Restaurant Concepts is a premier hospitality group dedicated to creating extraordinary restaurants and delightful experiences. ChoLon translates to “big market” in Vietnamese and is named after the largest Chinese-influenced market in Saigon. It also includes Executive Chef/Owner Lon Symensma’s first name, so after his extensive culinary travels across Asia, it “felt right” to open ChoLon in 2010 in Denver. ChoLon Sloan’s Lake was opened in 2024 to offer our unique menu to the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood.
Position Summary: The Restaurant General Manager will oversee daily operations, financial performance, and overall success at ChoLon Sloan's Lake. The role ensures the highest standards of quality, service, and profitability. Responsibilities include hiring, training, and managing staff, controlling inventory and costs, developing marketing strategies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and excellent customer service skills are crucial for success in this position. This role requires a leader passionate about hospitality, a significant degree of maturity, the capability to drive guest satisfaction and business success through operational excellence and team empowerment.
Key Responsibilities: ·
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecasts and financial reports to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Menu Innovation: Collaborate with culinary teams to design and implement menus that reflect current trends and meet guest preferences.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous standards for food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, ensuring compliance across all venues.
- Guest Relations: Actively engage with guests to gather feedback, address concerns, and enhance overall satisfaction.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality products and favorable terms.
- Strategic Planning: Identify market opportunities, develop promotional strategies, and implement initiatives to drive business growth.
- Marketing Partnership: Partner with the marketing team to craft a compelling narrative, giving our guests endless reasons to join us and ensuring our venue is a top-of-mind destination.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality management or similar.
- Proven track record of achieving financial targets and driving operational excellence.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends, culinary techniques, and beverage programs.
- Exceptional communication and guest service abilities.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software, such as Toast POS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
