Hiring : Youth Care Workers | Youth Behavioral Specialist
Location : The Children's Home of Reading | 1010 Centre Ave | Reading, PA
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $17.00 per hour
Seeking Youth Care Workers to cover 2nd Shift (2PM-10PM ) & 3rd Shift (10PM-6AM)
Position Requirements :
- Must be at least 21 Years of Age
- Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred) with a concentration in social work, criminal justice, psychology, or any Human Services field
- High School Diploma with at least 2 years' experience working with youth .
- Required to work on weekends as scheduled by supervisor.
- Must past all pre-employment physical & drug screening include background clearances (Child, Criminal, FBI, and DMV)
- Ability to demonstrate basic oral, written, and verbal communication.
- Must attend all required trainings followed by shadowing prior to working on the unit.
- Ability to work effectively among various levels of behaviors and maintain an atmosphere of safety, support, and guidance to ensure a positive environment.
Physical Demands for all Youth Care Workers
The employee must have the physical ability to restrain a resident, if needed, while utilizing the tenets of Safe Crisis Management training.
