Position Summary
The HR Business Partner will support Chord Energy’s staffing needs and facilitate the employee experience. This role will serve as a key contact for designated managers as it relates to recruiting, onboarding, employee development, employee performance and re-recruiting efforts. The ideal candidate has a strong generalist background with the proven ability to form and promote strong relationships across an organization and be a champion of the company culture and values. This position will be based in one of our district office locations and will report to the Human Resources Manager. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
Works closely with the Human Resources team and company leadership to meet recruiting deadlines
Quickly learns Chord Energy’s specific HR fundamentals to serve as point of contact for employee questions, including:
The recruiting process from the requisition phase to onboarding candidates
Employee Relations
Benefit and payroll basics
Workday/HRIS data entry basics
Ensures candidates move through the recruiting process to the onboarding stage in a timely manner by communicating with hiring managers, vendor and candidates as needed
Schedules both virtual and in person interviews; is the primary point of contact for candidates interviewing and scheduling for interviewers
Prepares draft offer letters
Submits candidates to background check vendor; works to get additional information to promptly clear candidate
Moves candidate to onboarding status prior to start date
Serves as a liaison between candidates and hiring managers; communicating, monitoring, and facilitating progress and addresses any concerns or questions
Proactively develops strong relationships and partnerships within the HR team, operations management, business leaders, external recruiters and other vendors
Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure company’s compliance
Point of contact for hiring managers and employees on company policies, procedures and compliance requirements with regards to recruiting and talent management
Establishes recurring meetings throughout the year with Supervisors to stay informed with the operations of the departments, status of the workforce and to review any HR related issues
Other duties and projects as needed requested by Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Marketing or related field
3 years of experience in a Recruiting or HR Generalist position
Experience using an HRIS/ Applicant Management system (posting job, developing screening questions, screening applications, developing reports, recommending and implementing system enhancements)
Knowledge of HR policies and procedures including federal laws regarding employment practices
Understanding of market conditions, job competencies, sourcing strategies and candidate assessment
Strong negotiation skills
Strong Microsoft skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
Willing to travel
Ability to meet deadlines and the ability to produce results under tight deadlines
