Position Summary
The Senior Reservoir Engineer is a technical based, individual contributor role, focused on basin wide Unconventional Bakken subsurface evaluations and Chord asset development. This position is located in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
Continuously evaluate subsurface assets by analyzing geologic, engineering, and production data
Ensure that development plans reliably deliver on forecasts and yield an attractive economic outcome
Characterize reservoirs and define drainage patterns to inform hydraulic fracture design and well spacing strategies
Utilize data analytics, manage large datasets, and apply machine learning principles to improve decision-making
Tasks performed in this role include; Lookbacks on prior projects, minor in-basin acquisitions, well testing, data gathering design, and project management
Collaborate with team members to develop best practices and innovative workflows
Share and implement best practices across Business Development and other teams within the Chord organization

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
7 years Industry experience
5 years of E&P Operator experience
3 years functioning in a Reservoir Engineering capacity
Good analytical skills with a coachable mindset
Exposure to the speed of business in unconventional exploitation with multi drilling rig programs.
Experienced with common reservoir engineering workflows
Experienced user of Python tools and data mining
Strong interpersonal Skills
Comfortable working team environment.
Good presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
Ability to meet deadlines
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
