What You Will Do:
As the Plant Manager, you will manage the operations – including production, warehouse, maintenance, and facilities – to ensure on-time, complete, and error-free goals are attained within budget and resource guidelines.
What You Will Accomplish:
- Leads and manages the production and scheduling, following customer order due dates, along with ordering on smaller components, to ensure shipping dates are achieved.
- Manages and controls costs to ensure budget goals are attained in the areas of scrap, material usage, overtime, tools, and supplies.
- Researches, develops, and executes on Lean-Thinking and 5S initiatives within the facility to continually enhance quality output.
- Manages the safety and maintenance of the facility and equipment – initiating Capital Expense Requests where applicable to ensure production & quality goals are met.
- Leads, mentors, and develops team members to continually grow competencies within the facility while creating a challenging and rewarding work environment that retains top talent.
- Collaborates with customers, CTB Customer Service, and vendors to ensure smooth processes for all involved.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or relevant field preferred; Will consider a combination of coursework and relevant work experience.
- Experience: 5 years of progressive Leadership experience within a manufacturing/production environment.
- Certification(s): Six Sigma or Lean certifications preferred but not required.
- Functional Skills: Strong budgeting, planning, and production scheduling experience; Exceptional understanding of Lean-thinking and process improvement; Strong experience in supply chain processes; Previous experience with safety/OSHA principles; Detailed and analytical.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Intermediate MS Office experience; Strong understanding of ERP systems with a knowledge of Oracle a plus.
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Other Important Information:
Position Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.
Reports To: Operations Manager
Core Hours: 6:30am-4:30pm (There is flexibility with schedule; will work approximately 8-9 hours within this timeframe)
Typical Work Week:M-F
Direct Reports:3-4 direct reports; 22 total
Work Conditions: Primarily a manufacturing environment
Travel: Up to 10%
