Technical Support Professional Job Description
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and SKILLS REQUIRED
Chorus SmartSecure is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and dependable Technical Support Team Member to join our growing team. Troubleshooting, computer skills, attention to detail, data entry, a strong work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills are required in this position. Key characteristics include integrity, character, courage, perseverance, positivity, professionalism, the ability to work both independently and on a team, and willingness to learn on the job and share experiences with other members of the team. Drug and background screen required. Must speak and understand English.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and DUTIES
- Provide remote troubleshooting and support for alarm and non-alarm customers.
- Actively monitor systems for issues and trouble conditions, remotely troubleshoot, and communicate with customers accordingly.
- Schedule service tickets for service team members.
- Answer phones, create customer service tickets, route, and assign resources for customer calls.
- Work with customer service team to return all missed calls and voicemails, respond to emails, and other customer inquiries.
- Other projects, opportunities, and reports assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Desire to actively learn systems, problem solve, and serve customers well.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Must pass AESBL background check.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS / SCHEDULE
The job operates in a professional office environment. Must possess ability to use telephone, computer, and other required technology. This position requires the ability to work full-time.
REQUIRED PHYSICAL and MENTAL DEMANDS
Requires constant sitting, walking, talking, use of fingers and arms, mental alertness and hearing. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for at least 50% of the time. Must be able to perform essential job functions in an environment that will sometimes include increased levels of work-related stress. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Must have ability to communicate clearly.
