What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler- Day/Evening Hours- one weekend per month position at Chosen Valley Care Center, Inc?
Title: Full Time Day/Evening - CNA Scheduler
Job responsibilities: Managing the schedule of the nursing department to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census and as directed by facility administration. Other departments may be added to the practice temporarily by managements discretion.
Job qualifications:
Scheduling experience preferred.
Experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred
High School Diploma
Job duties:
- Consult with the nursing department staff and supervisors to assist them with scheduling needs.
- Coordinate appropriate coverage for call ins for each schedule in a timely manner.
- Work with the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Nursing when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and facility policies.
- Complete and post work schedules.
- Update scheduled throughout the day and access as staffing and residents ratios change.
- Maintain absence records of employees.
- Monitor labor hours for all floor staff in the nursing department to meet the hours needed.
- Work one on one with staff when needing scheduling help.
- Assist with Paid Time Off requests to ensure appropriate staffing.
- Assist in helping schedule time for employees to complete education time and other time as allotted.
- Communicates with Nursing supervisors or other department supervisors as needed.
- Ready to help on the floor as needed.
- Other items as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
Job Relationships: Supervised by the Director of Nursing.
