Assigned responsibilities under direction of Superintendent.
Responsible for supervision/evaluation of assigned personnel and program/operation of school. Also responsible for curriculum/instructional assistance.
Duties: The head and professional leader of the school; Develop/implement plans and objectives in keeping with district philosophies/objectives; Supervise teaching; Establish/maintain standards of student behavior; Supervise health, welfare, safety of students; Develop/conduct inservices for staff; Implement curricular programs and requisitins adequate supplies for the program and facilities operations; Develop/control budgetary allocations for school; Organize planning and supervision of parental study groups and workshops; Interprets school policies to parents, board and community affairs; Cooperate/coordinate with social welfare agencies to provide assitance to children; Arrange for interaction of school/community groups, subject to approval of Superintendent; Supervise/maintain record keeping such as government forms, health forms, student records, staff attendance forms; Coordinate procedures connected with student promotion or transfers; Insure adequate student supervision both on site and on field trips or other off-campus school sponsored activities; Participate in district research problems, committees, programs as necessary or as directed by Superintendent; Recommends staffing levels in keeping with projected student load; Insure the school is operated in accordance with local, state, federal laws, regulations or policies; Carry out summer programs required by mandate of law and/or Board directives; Provide curriculum/instructional support to school site; Develop supplemental materials for classroom teachers, augmenting instruction to students when required and aiding teachers in finding appropriate additional classroom materaisl; Supervise site testing program and library; Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: 1) Possess appropriate administrative credential. Shall have: 1) Masters Degree from accredited college or university. 2) Minimum of (5) years teaching experience and at least two years experience as supervisor. (3) Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum planning and development. (4) Demonstrated ability to supervise.
(5) Demonstrated ability to secure community support. (6) Demonstrated a knowledge of budget preparation/management. (7) Passed TB test. (8) Possess valid Calif. Drivers License. (8) Shall not have been convicted of a felony.
Salary : $137,869 - $159,828
