About the Role
The Community & Equity Coordinator is responsible for providing operational support to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion department and assists with the planning and implementation of the Equity Strategic Plan and contributes to the advancement of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Plan goals and objectives. The Community & Equity Coordinator provides customer service and assists with process improvement while championing inclusivity and breaking down barriers.
To be successful in this role, you:
- Are committed to the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion within CHPW.
- Have two (2) or more years’ experience in either customer service or administrative, or a related field.
- Are proficient with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, and Power Point.
- Have two years or more years exposure or experience in Diversity Equity and Inclusion highly preferred.
Essential functions and Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides general administrative and project coordination support for the Equity department.
- Provides admin and coordination for newly developed Community Advisory Council and act as a main point of contact with the health authority on all matters related to the successful implementation of program goals and outcomes.
- Main point of contact for all matters related to Equity department. Triages calls, messages, inquiries, and requests from internal and external sources.
- Provide admin and coordination for new work from RFP and IMC/HCA contract support duties. Identified in the RFP as a new position to coordinate re-entry RFP. Interfacing with tribal communities and act as support for and with Indian Health Community Organization to support successful implementation and culturally relevant reentry services
- Coordinate logistics for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Diversity, Equity and Inclusion events, conferences, and workshops including room reservations, internal communication, airline travel, catering and guest speakers, including invoices and expense reporting.
- Coordinate with ERGs for event planning, training, logistics with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion annual reports, track/maintain ERG meetings and functions, etc. Attending all ERG meetings.
- Coordinate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion trainings such as, Bias Reporting education, Equity Townhalls, Emerging Leadership Program logistics, internal communication, materials, attendance, and pre/post surveys.
- Collect and track information/requests for annual reports and internal and external audits in a timely manner.
- Participates in special projects. Assists with designing presentations, workshops, and learning materials to promote diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Assists with curriculum development and training delivery for community efforts.
- Research latest innovations for Equity department, such as heath equity risk factors and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, including gathering data and providing summary for programs and initiatives.
- Coordinate monthly/quarterly Diversity, Equity and Inclusion awareness campaigns and cultural celebrations.
- In coordination with Marketing and other departments, maintain content for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts across the organization including CAC, ERG, and employee communication.
- Maintain Culture of Equity page on CHPW intranet for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Community Advisory Council and ERGs.

Compensation and Benefits:
The position is FLSA Non-Exempt and is eligible for overtime. Based on market data, this position grade is 41 and has a 5% annual incentive target based on company, department, and individual performance goals. Salary determined at offer will be based on labor market data and a candidate's years of relevant work experience and skills relevant to the position.
